The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the departure from Russia of the former judge of the Supreme Court of the republic, Saidi Yangulbaev. In his Telegram, he accused him of betrayal.

Yangulbaev “couldn’t raise intelligent children, and instead of condemning them for extremist statements, he betrayed the judicial system, supported them and fled, hiding behind the status of a judge,” Kadyrov stressed. He added that Yangulbayev’s family “with their provocations and intrigues brought to naught” the efforts of the republic’s authorities to destroy the terrorists and their accomplices.

The head of Chechnya promised that “wherever the Yangulbaevs fled,” he and his team would do everything to find them in accordance with the law, “and if they resist, they will be destroyed.”

Kadyrov also named the human rights activist, the founder of the Committee against Torture organization (in 2015, it was recognized by the Ministry of Justice as an NPO acting as a foreign agent, after which the legal entity self-liquidated. In 2016, the CPT was also recognized as a foreign agent, after which human rights activists began to operate under the same name, but without forming a legal entity) Igor Kalyapin and Novaya Gazeta journalist Yelena Milashina as terrorists “who make money on the topic of the Chechen Republic and Chechens, developing scripts and whispering texts and behavior into the ears of their characters.” The head of Chechnya appealed to Russian law enforcement agencies with an appeal to detain “these accomplices of terrorists.”

Earlier, Kadyrov said that the entire Yangulbaev family had soiled their hands with shameful publications in one of the Telegram channels, and these people have no concept of honor and dignity. He added that the family of the Chechen ex-judge “is waiting for a place in prison or underground” and linked the Yangulbaevs’ actions to terrorism and extremism. Kadyrov is sure that they should be detained, “as required by law, and punished.”

Recall, on the eve it became known that Zarema, the wife of the former federal judge Saydi Yangulbaev, was kidnapped from an apartment in Nizhny Novgorod. Kadyrov claimed that the operation of the police from Chechnya was coordinated with their counterparts from Nizhny Novgorod, and all the actions of law enforcement officers were carried out in accordance with the procedural legislation of the Russian Federation. The woman’s son, Abubakar Yangulbaev, was sure that his mother had nothing to do with the fraud case, in which she was detained as a witness. In addition, commenting on the video recording of his mother’s conversation with the Chechen Ombudsman, he points out that his mother’s speech is stunted, as if “she was drugged with some kind of pills.”
