President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dismissed the head of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Nurbolat Aidapkelov. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

“By the order of the head of state, Aidapkelov Nurbolat Sergalievich was relieved of his post as head of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the report says.

Aidapkelov took up his position in October 2020.

Earlier, Tokayev fired the first deputy chairman of the National Security Committee, Samat Abish, the nephew of the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Other relatives of ex-president Nazarbayev lost their posts.
