Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, whose name has recently been popping up in the media in the context of criticism of the snow and garbage collapse in the city, said that he was not going to leave his post despite the censure. He said this in an interview with the 78 TV channel.
“I am not going anywhere. I apologize for the inconvenience. We need to be patient a little, we will definitely bring reforms, make the city cleaner and better,” the governor said.
The current composition of the Smolny, he noted, is replete with young professionals.
Speaking about criticism, Beglov once again said that he was ready to accept only constructive, asking once again not to “scold the city.”
“I respect constructive criticism and talents. Scold me as much as you want, just don’t scold the city, ”he summed up.
Recall that earlier the leader of the Leningrad group, Sergei Shnurov, ridiculed St. Petersburg officials for their inaction with a song about a snow and garbage collapse in the city. The video clip has already gained more than a million views on YouTube in a few days.
