Petersburg received a batch of vaccine for adolescents “GamKovidVak M”, which will soon be distributed to district clinics, the city health committee reports.
“This morning, the warehouse of JSC Pharmbaza received a batch of vaccine for adolescents GamKovidVak M in the amount of 2880 dose sets,” the Komzdrav’s Telegram channel said.
It is specified that “in the coming days, the vaccine will be diluted in district clinics,” and teenagers “will be vaccinated at 83 vaccination points.”
Recall that last Friday, the chairman of the health committee, Dmitry Lisovets, in an interview with reporters, just announced the arrival of this batch of Sputnik M coronavirus vaccines on Sunday.
“We are waiting for a batch of this vaccine to arrive literally on Sunday. It is small – less than three thousand, as far as I remember. Therefore, naturally, for the time being, vaccination with such a small amount of vaccine will be organized in children’s clinics, because, first of all, it is the clinics that are now prepared to vaccinate as safely as possible those children whose parents give their consent. Because the vaccination room must be equipped with everything necessary, ”Lisovets pointed out.
In the future, according to him, schools can be equipped with vaccination rooms.
Adolescents 15 years of age and older will need voluntary informed consent instead of parental consent, the Smolny representative recalled.
