Honored Artist of Russia, actor of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theater Rasmi Dzhabrailov died in Moscow at the age of 90, according to the theater’s Facebook page.
“On the evening of January 22, after a long illness, the Honored Artist of Russia, actor of the Mayakovsky Theater Rasmi Khalidovich Dzhabrailov passed away. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of the artist. For all Mayakovites, this is a huge irreparable loss, ”the message emphasizes.
In the theater, Dzhabrailov was called “an amazing tragicomic artist” and “a little Chaplin’s man with a great temperament.”
Rasmi Dzhabrailov was born on December 8, 1932. In 1995 he graduated from the acting department of GITIS, and in 1961 – from the directing department. In 1993 he was accepted into the Taganka Actors’ Association, and in 2002 he joined the troupe of the Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theatre. He is familiar to viewers from such films as, in particular, “The Possessed”, “Vertical”, “In August 44th”, “Almost a Funny Story”.
