The Russian women’s team won silver in the final relay before the Beijing Olympics at the Biathlon World Cup in Anterselva.

After the second stage, Kristina Reztsova was the first (Valeria Vasnetsova ran in the first stage). Her impulse seemed to be picked up by Irina Kazakevich, who came to the second shooting with a 30-second lead. However, Irina had to enter three (!) penalty loops at once and it seemed that all chances for prizes were lost. However, Uliana Nigmatullina did what seemed impossible. In the fight with the Frenchwoman Anais Bescond, she confidently became the second, leaving the tricolor third position.

And the Norwegians became the winners after a long break.

In the men’s mass start, Anton Babikov became the best of the Russians – he took 10th place. Eduard Latypov, who competed after a long break for covid, was only 25th, having made 7 misses at once.

The German Benedikt Doll was finally the first to reach the finish line, the Norwegian Johanness Be became the second, his compatriot Sturla Legreid took the third place.
