Russians are advised to abandon post-New Year diets due to the situation with the spread of a new strain of coronavirus “omicron”.
According to nutritionist Margarita Koroleva, strict diets and intermittent fasting for rapid weight loss after the New Year holidays are now especially dangerous because they lead to a decrease in immunity. Thus, the diet can adversely affect a person’s health.
“Hunger is not a measure in weight loss while taking care of your own health. Restrictive or exclusionary diet food groups after, or time-restrictive. All this will lead to an additional decrease in immunity during the period of the spread of “omicron,” Koroleva told the Moscow agency.
The doctor recommends just sticking to a healthy and balanced diet. “The basis should be natural products, unrefined, from the composition of cereals, sources of complete protein of animal and vegetable origin, of course, dietary fiber,” the nutritionist concluded.
Previously, the Queen named products that will help protect against “omicron”.
Recall that in Russia over the past day, 49,513 cases of coronavirus infection were detected – this is a new anti-record. In Moscow, the maximum value for the entire time of the pandemic is also 15,987 new infections.
