The Petrogradsky District Court suspended the operation of the Sytny Market for 35 days due to non-compliance with the instructions of Rospotrebnadzor in a pandemic. Buyers will not be able to buy on the market from January 21, the joint press service of the city courts reports.

The audit showed that the air in the trading floor of the market is not disinfected, there are no places for treating hands with an antiseptic, there are no sinks for washing hands in the departments with meat, fish, gastronomic and dairy products. The market management also failed to provide Rospotrebnadzor employees with schedules for cleaning rooms, processing contact surfaces and disinfecting every 2-4 hours. Inspectors noticed that in the basement with warehouses and cold rooms, there are cracks on the walls and ceiling through which rodents can penetrate.

Recall that the Sytny market is considered the oldest in the city – it was founded in 1711.
