Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tokarev, who was recently detained on charges of fraud, arranged for the conclusion of fictitious contracts to withdraw money from the accounts of a company controlled by him. This was stated by a RIA Novosti source in law enforcement agencies.
According to him, “Tokarev ensured the conclusion of a contract between Glavstroyinvest, which he controls, and SpetsTransStroy, according to this contract, construction and installation work was to be carried out to reconstruct a site in the Krasnodar Territory.”
Earlier, the source of the agency indicated that the damage from the fraud imputed to the defendants exceeded 500 million rubles.
Recall that Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Tokarev was charged with especially large-scale fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He is currently in a temporary detention facility. As specified in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the deputy head of the Ministry of Transport is suspected of involvement in the theft of funds from Spetstransstroy LLC.
According to the investigators, from 2016 to 2018, Tokarev, then he served as the first deputy general director of SpetsTransStroy LLC, in order to embezzle the funds of this organization on an especially large scale, involved a number of persons from among the management of SpetsTransStroy LLC into illegal activities. and Glavstroyinvest LLC and other affiliated organizations.
On January 19, Tokarev was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and placed in a temporary detention facility. In the near future, the Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow will consider the investigator’s petition for a preventive measure in the form of detention.
