Only 15% of Russian citizens have never taken loans in their lives, while 52% of our compatriots have active loans, and 31% have all loans repaid. This is evidenced by a study by the Otkritie bank, to which RIA Novosti refers.
Three-quarters of those surveyed have never made late payments, one in four tries to pay them on time, although this is not always possible, and only 2% of survey participants delay payments constantly. Every third participant in the study has never checked his credit history, another 20% of respondents do this no more than once every two or three years. Every fifth research participant checks their credit history several times a year, and only 2% are unfamiliar with the content of the term “credit history”.
At the same time, 60% of survey participants reported that they had never faced banks with refusals to provide loans due to poor credit history, while 30% had such experience.
The study of Otkritie Bank was conducted on January 13-18, 2022 among 1,000 citizens of the Russian Federation. All survey participants are between the ages of 18 and 65 and live in cities with a population of more than 100,000 people.
