Amid the spread of the Omicron strain, Andrey Kryukov, the chief ENT of the capital, urged Muscovites to carefully monitor their well-being and start treatment at the first symptoms. He attributed nasal congestion, pain and sore throat to the signs of “omicron”.

The doctor advises the use of drugs that relieve the symptoms of the disease, as well as antiviral agents, according to Arguments and Facts.

“To relieve inflammation in the throat, it is best to use antiseptic solutions. They need to regularly, four to five times a day, gargle. To reduce pain symptoms, you can use tablets or sprays with an anesthetic, it is very important that you can use them no more than two or three times a day, ”the doctor explained.

For the treatment of the nose, Kryukov recommends using saline sprays or vasoconstrictor drops. At the same time, the doctor categorically warned against antibiotics – they will not help with “omicron” or SARS.

Earlier, Sergey Ryabov, an infectious disease doctor near Moscow, called for an increase in the amount of fluid consumed at the first sign of “omicron”.
