Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, who was previously deported from Australia due to lack of a coronavirus vaccine, has acquired an 80% stake in the Danish company QuantBioRes, which develops drugs for COVID-19. According to Reuters, this information was confirmed by the executive director of the company.
The agency clarifies that the tennis player bought the company’s shares in June 2020.
The amount of investment by the athlete is not called.
Recall that last week the Australian court upheld the decision of the country’s authorities to cancel the visa of Djokovic, who arrived to participate in the Australian Open. The athlete was not vaccinated against coronavirus, as he had this infection in December, and submitted a certificate of medical exemption from vaccination. The Australian authorities first accepted her, then canceled Djokovic’s visa twice.
It is noted that entry to Australia for the first racket of the world is closed for three years. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić called the court’s decision a “witch hunt”.
