TV presenter and physician Alexander Myasnikov named three symptoms in which you need to see a doctor when infected with “omicron”, and also told how to be treated at home in case of a mild form.

The specialist recalled that “omicron” is actually an acute respiratory disease. “As a rule, we don’t go to the doctor with acute respiratory infections and we do it right, a mild viral infection goes away on its own. Like 90% of the previous covid strains, and even more so “omicron,” wrote the head physician of the Moscow hospital No. 71 in his Telegram channel. According to him, you should consult a doctor only in three cases: with shortness of breath at rest or with little physical exertion, with a constant temperature above 38 degrees, and also with pulse oximeter readings below 94.

At a temperature, Myasnikov advises Russians to take paracetamol, the dose of which should not exceed three grams per day, and in case of a runny nose, rinse the nose with saline solutions. In case of pain or sore throat, the doctor recommends rinsing with chlorhexidine or miramistin several times a day, as well as various lozenges. The TV presenter categorically warned the Russians against taking antibiotics. “This is not a bacterial sore throat, there is a virus. Antibiotics do not work on the virus, but you can get resistance to antibiotics or their side effect very quickly, ”he explained.

The most important thing in the treatment of acute respiratory infections is “grandmother’s methods”: “home regimen, bed, airing, drinking plenty of water, broths, porridge,” Myasnikov added.

Earlier, the TV presenter warned about the dangers for men’s health of excessive consumption of dairy products. He also criticized the Russians who treat the common cold with onions and eggs.

On the eve of the Russian Federation, the quarantine period for patients with coronavirus was reduced from 14 days to a week.
