Electronic equipment and furniture were stolen on Monday from inside the building of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS) of Esmeraldas, according to the complaint filed with the Judicial Police (PJ).
Employees of this institution realized the robbery when they entered office hours in the morning.
Apparently, the criminals entered through a hole where an air conditioner was located in the front of this building, located in Ortiz Alley between Libertad Avenue and Sucre Street.

Another robbery at a pharmacy on the Las Palmas boardwalk, north of the city, was recorded on the cameras of this premises. One of the criminals subdued an employee with a firearm and entered her into a warehouse. Another subject with a motorcycle helmet entered the pharmacy and took various belongings.
The robbery happened one block from the UPC Las Palmas police unit. Merchants ask for a greater police and military presence in the streets at night and early in the morning.
