Killer of 77 people asks for parole: the court in Norway will reconsider Breivik’s case

A Norwegian court will consider the petition of Anders Breivik’s killer for parole. In the near future, hearings will be held right within the walls of the prison, the process will take three days, writes CNN.

Breivik, who killed 77 people, claims that he is not dangerous to society and demands to be released. The psychiatrist is sure that the state of the terrorist has not changed, and the Norwegian prosecutor’s office warned about the threat of new crimes by Breivik.

Recall that the killer was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the attacks in 2011. Eight people were killed in the bombing of Breivik in the center of Oslo, another 69 people were killed by a radical in a youth camp. About 150 people were injured.

According to the verdict of the court, the killer received a term that can be extended indefinitely if the court decides that the offender remains a danger to society. Breivik sits in solitary confinement, where there are 3 rooms, TV, shower, computer and exercise equipment. He can study and take exams at the university.
