For resisting the theft of his car, a young man was murdered in the south of Guayaquil

The victim was accompanied by his girlfriend, and when he tried to flee he was shot in the head.

The family of Geancarlos Perea, 21, is devastated and calls for justice. The young man is veiled this Monday at his home, in the south of Guayaquil, after he was murdered over the weekend by criminals who stole his vehicle.

They say that Geancarlos was parked on Avenida 25 de Julio, in Los Esteros, along with his girlfriend, when they were intercepted by armed criminals.

The suspects arrived in a gray Hyundai Tucson and, according to neighbors, they were parked for about 20 minutes near Perea’s car, who was talking with his partner.

After this time, one of the thieves got out of the car and approached Geancarlos’s car to open the door for him. The deceased today noticed and began to struggle to prevent them from opening the door.

The neighbors said that after this the criminal pulled his gun from his waist and shot Geancarlos, who remained inside his car.

The injured driver managed to advance a few meters, but later he stopped and the criminals took him out of the car, as well as his partner, and took the victim’s vehicle. The young man died on the spot.

Today the Police investigate the fact and seek to track down the murderers.

In addition, the uniformed men clarified that Perea does not have a record, so it is ruled out that it was a selective attack. (I)
