In the Saratov region, the desire of two elderly women for extreme sports ended in tragedy – one of them died. A pre-investigation check has been launched, following which a procedural decision will be made, the regional Investigative Committee reports.
The night before, a 65-year-old pensioner and her friend, residents of the city of Rtishchevo, decided to go tubing. For skiing, they chose an unequipped descent – the slope of the bridge, equipped with handrails. According to preliminary data, when moving down the hill, the pensioner hit her head on the handrail and died instantly. Paramedics called to the scene pronounced him dead.
Investigators examined the scene. On the body of a woman, an injury was found in the back of the head on the right. A forensic medical examination is underway to determine the exact cause of death. A complex of verification measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident is being carried out.
