The Federal State Institution (FKU) “Uprdor “Priuralie” (subordinate to Rosavtodor) banned the movement of passenger and freight transport along the section of the federal highway M5 “Ural” in three regions of the Volga region. This was reported by the press service of the department.
Restrictions were introduced at 19:30 on January 15. We are talking about passenger buses and minibuses, passenger taxis, trucks. The section from the 1194th (n.p. Severny) to the 1375th (n.p. Vostochny) kilometer of the federal highway M5 “Ural”, passing through the Orenburg region, Bashkiria and Tatarstan, was closed. The reason for the restrictions is bad weather. Strong winds, blowing blizzards and heavy snowfall continue in the area, with significant reduced visibility.
Recall that this afternoon due to a snowstorm in the Volga region, the entrances along the federal highways to two regional centers were partially closed: to Izhevsk along the M7 Volga for trucks, to Orenburg along the M5 for trucks and passenger transport.
Due to deteriorating weather conditions, Rosavtodor closed the entrance to Orenburg along the M5 from 15:00 Moscow time for all types of transport. Also, from 16:50 Moscow time, the M5 section from the 170th to the 260th kilometer (from the village of Krasnoshchekovo to the city of Gai) is closed to the movement of all vehicles – the entrance to the Orsk checkpoint in the Orenburg region.
