The subjects are accused of the crime of robbery to people under the modality of pencil sharpener.
Four foreigners were arrested during an operation carried out by agents of the Judicial Police and the General Intelligence Directorate, this Friday the 14th.
The four people are accused of belonging to a criminal organization dedicated to the crime of robbery of people under the modality of sharpshooters in areas of Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón.
The individuals were identified after intelligence agents reviewed the videos from surveillance cameras located in a shopping center in Durán, where the four subjects stole $3,000 from a police server.
In the videos it is observed that the occupants of a vehicle and a motorcycle block the path of the police officer’s car to snatch the money.
Police officers organized an operation to locate the vehicle after discovering the plates. Finally, the car used in the assault and the owner of the motorcycle were found in the Juan Montalvo cooperative, north of Guayaquil.
Luis Ángel MD and Juan José P. were arrested at the site. Daniel Jesús SA, also implicated in the incident, was arrested near the site.

During the police procedure, a 38-caliber revolver loaded with six cartridges and a 9-millimeter caliber pistol loaded with 10 projectiles were found inside the home of Luis Ángel MD.
