A huge homeless dog, caught in Yakutsk and nicknamed “the king of dogs”, has found owners. This is reported by the Telegram channel of the REN-TV channel, explaining that while the dog is under overexposure, but will soon go to new owners in Moscow.
The “King of Dogs” got its nickname after a video was posted online showing a large dog of unknown origin tearing up a truck’s tarpaulin. The townspeople themselves insisted on the capture of the dog, which literally terrorized local residents and frightened children.
The capture of stray dogs in Yakutsk intensified shortly before the New Year, after the death of a female teacher at the North-Eastern Federal University from dog teeth. A high alert regime has been declared on the territory of the city; in less than two weeks, more than 380 dogs were caught on the streets of Yakutsk. But shooting stray dogs is prohibited by law – they must be sterilized and released or left in a shelter.
