Crimea returns the mandatory presentation of a QR code in public places

In Crimea, from January 17, the regime of mandatory presentation of a QR code for visiting a number of organizations and public places will be returned. Changes to the decree were made by the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, the document is posted on the site governments of the region.

From January 17, to visit catering establishments, shopping centers, salons, saunas, fitness centers, theaters and cinemas, you will again need a QR code with information about vaccination or a previous disease, or a negative PCR test. In addition, entertainment events in restaurants are again prohibited and the ban on the operation of hostels is extended “until further notice”.

Recall that since March 17, 2020, a high alert regime has been in place in Crimea due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus. Mass events are banned; cinemas, museums and restaurants operate at part capacity. Mandatory vaccination for service workers has been introduced.

At the end of 2021, the number of new cases of coronavirus detected daily in Crimea began to decline: this figure dropped from a maximum of 880 to 60. In this regard, the authorities temporarily, until January 20, canceled the need to present QR codes to visit public places.

In recent days, the region has resumed growth in the number of cases, over the past day the virus was detected in 94 people. Over the entire period of the pandemic, the diagnosis of COVID-19 was confirmed in 127 thousand people, more than 4.5 thousand patients died.
