Boris Johnson faces police investigation due to participation in “feast in time of plague”

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson may become a defendant in a police investigation into the violation of “antiquated” restrictions. This was reported by the Sky News TV channel.

This is an outdoor party held on May 20, 2020 in Downing Street. Despite the ban at the time from meeting more than one person from another household, even in the open air, 40 people participated in the scandalous party, including the Prime Minister himself and his wife Carrie.

Boris Johnson has already been accused of “failing” the fight against the coronavirus, and the prime minister’s rating fell to record lows after his employees were accused of participating in a banned Christmas party in the midst of yet another coronavirus restrictions at the end of 2020. At the same time, the head of government himself was not there.

Even relatively harmless actions can turn into a grandiose scandal – for example, the head of the British Ministry of Health Matt Hancock resigned after he was caught kissing with his assistant. The kiss turned out to be fatal for two reasons – firstly, the ex-minister is married, and secondly, he was accused of violating the rules of social distancing.
