From Friday the 14th to Sunday the 16th, the opening hours will be modified in commercial establishments and entertainment centers, such as bars, discotheques and tolerance centers.
The schedule will be until 22:00, according to the resolution of the Machala Emergency Operations Committee (COE), with the aim of avoiding the increase in coronavirus infections.
The mayor of Machala, Darío Macas, reported that through operations the capacity of 50% in open spaces and 30% in closed spaces will be controlled.
In addition, the official announced the prohibition of massive public shows for fifteen days, contemplated in the provisions of the national COE.
Macas, president of the cantonal COE, urged the Machalean community to maintain biosecurity measures. He also indicated that continuous control operations will be carried out, in order to avoid agglomerations and to verify that the provisions issued are fulfilled.
