Pedernales COE adopts new measures in the face of epidemiological situation

At the Manuel Cedeño Loor land terminal, users must present the vaccination card before buying a travel ticket.

Pedernales, MANABÍ

The Pedernales Emergency Operations Committee (COE) adopted several measures to lower the rate of COVID-19 infections in the canton, during the session held on Tuesday 11.

One of the provisions is to vaccinate municipal government employees and personnel from the first operational line in the canton.

From 05:00 to 20:00 is the time in which they will be able to serve commercial establishments, as well as food and beverage spaces such as restaurants, cafeterias, picanterías, ice cream parlors.

In addition, bars, discos, nightlife centers, karaoke bars, billiards, will work from 10:00 to 20:00.

At the same time, they will attend sports recreation spaces such as courts, gyms and the like, where the sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

All establishments will be able to operate with a capacity of 50%, ordered the cantonal COE.

Likewise, these places must request the vaccination card, in which the application of the two doses is recorded, to the users. The establishments will maintain their biosafety protocols.

Tourist servers, owners of commercial establishments and their staff must carry the inoculation card. Failure to comply with the practice of biosafety measures and protocols, the premises will be sanctioned or closed by the National Police Station, Municipal Police Station and National Police.

Citizens will be able to enter the beaches and freshwater spas from 07:00 to 18:00.

The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in public spaces.

As of Wednesday, January 12, users of the Manuel Cedeño Loor land terminal must present their vaccination card before purchasing their ticket.

These measures will be in effect until January 26. (I)
