The youngest daughter of the former President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, acquired a mansion in north London in 2006, intending to obtain British citizenship, The Sunday Telegraph reports.

According to the newspaper, the purchase became one of the most significant acquisitions of 41-year-old Aliya Nazarbayeva after she withdrew $ 300 million (about 22.6 billion rubles) from the territory of the republic. It became known about the impressive spending after a conflict arose between the politician’s relative and her financial advisers, reports Lenta.ru.

At the same time, it is clarified, in particular, that the youngest daughter of the ex-president spent 8.75 million pounds (about 897 million rubles) from her fortune on purchasing a house in the Highgate area.

Earlier, the British government called on to freeze more than 600 million pounds of British assets belonging to the ruling elite of Kazakhstan.
