Russians were listed foods that are important to eat in winter

Fresh fruit must be eaten throughout the year, including in winter, and this reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, strengthens the immune system, and also prevents disturbances in the functioning of the endocrine and digestive systems. Andrey Bobrovsky, a nutritionist and associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University, spoke about this in an interview with radio Sputnik.

According to him, “the plus of fresh fruits is that they contain so-called water-soluble vitamins.” “This is a class of vitamins that do not stay in the human body for a long time. It is impossible to create a stock of them, they can be obtained only from vegetables and fruits, ”the specialist emphasized.

In his opinion, fiber, which is also found in fruits, is indispensable for the prevention of atherosclerosis and overweight. “The second is fiber, which is an irreplaceable component of the diet of a modern person. She conducts powerful prevention of atherosclerosis, and hence cardiovascular diseases, as well as overweight, because all food rich in fiber causes a feeling of satiety, and a person costs less food, “explained Bobrovsky.

He warned that a lack of fruit in the diet could negatively affect the body. “The lack of fruit is dangerous, first of all, by a decrease in immunity, exacerbation of chronic diseases, hormonal disorders, disorders of digestion and metabolic processes, as well as a decrease in the general tone. That same winter blues is largely associated not only with a decrease in the number of sunny days, but also with a deficiency of vitamins and microelements obtained from fruits, ”the doctor said.

He advised which fruit is best to give preference to in winter. “In winter, you need to consume multi-colored fruits. A person who concentrates on one fruit receives an incomplete composition of trace elements, vitamins and fiber. It is advisable to choose seasonal fruits that ripen during this period in certain countries. A classic winter example is tangerines, ”said Bobrovsky.

Let us also recall that back in May last year, he named the best time for breakfast – within an hour and a half from the moment of waking up. “Traditionally, it is believed that you need to have breakfast within an hour and a half after you wake up. The difference in a few minutes, even in half an hour, will not play a special role, ”the nutritionist said.
