On the air of the Kazakh channel, they told about the participation of a famous musician from Kyrgyzstan in a rally for money

Jazz music performer, pianist Vikram Ruzakhunov, who announced an offer to participate in protests in Kazakhstan for money, was detained. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan are clarifying the circumstances of the incident, TASS reports with reference to the press services of the departments.

“Appropriate measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the arrest of Vikram Ruzakhunov,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The Kazakh media disseminated a video in which the musician, with traces of beatings on his face, claims that he flew from Kyrgyzstan to Alma-Ata to participate in the rally.

“Strangers phoned me and offered to participate in the rally, offered 90 thousand tenge (more than 200 US dollars), since I am unemployed in Kyrgyzstan, I agreed,” the detainee said on the air of the Khabar 24 TV channel.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev said that Ruzakhunov did not take part in the riots, 24.kg reports.

“Information from state TV channels of Kazakhstan is incorrect. Neighbors need to change the rhetoric of the investigation. It is wrong to accuse our citizens of terrorism, ”he said.

Tashiev came to a rally at the Kazakh embassy in Bishkek, which is against the detention of the musician.
