The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Trans-Baikal Territory has begun a pre-investigation check of information that appeared in social networks and local media about the driver of an intercity “minibus” bus from Chita, who tried to take a 10-11 year old boy in front of other passengers and the child’s older brother. on the website of the department.
According to the Telegram channel “Now in Chita (18+)”, the “minibus” had to pay a fine to a traffic police officer for the fact that this boy, the only one of the passengers, was not wearing his seatbelt. First, the driver tried to extort money equivalent to the amount of the fine from other passengers, then, seeing that all the adult passengers had left the cabin, he tried to take the younger boy by force in an unknown direction, despite the older’s protests, and only after some time, for some unknown reason, he released the child. Outraged readers are advised to complain to the “police and the prosecutor’s office” or write to the virtual reception room of the President of the Russian Federation.
Investigators will carry out procedural and other measures necessary to clarify all the circumstances of the outrageous incident. After identifying the driver of the minibus, his documents will be checked for the right to provide services for the transportation of passengers. Passengers of the “minibus” will also be identified and questioned, including a young boy who almost played the role of a hostage.
The regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation was also involved in identifying the driver and clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
