In Tyumen, a criminal case has been initiated into the sale of methyl alcohol, which was poured into unsuspecting vodka bottles and sold to citizens under the Rodniki Sibiri brand. Nine people became victims of surrogate alcohol. The punishment for this crime, as the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tyumen Region recalls, is up to ten years in prison.

Employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Tyumen Region, identified and detained four suspects in the manufacture and sale of deadly alcohol, persons born in 1971, 1993, 1974 and 1987. The sale of counterfeit vodka began on January 3, the number of bottles sold in five days remains unknown.

The investigation of the criminal case on surrogate alcohol is under the control of the head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Tyumen Region, Alexander Kublyakov. Searches have already been carried out at the place of residence of suspects and victims, witnesses are being questioned and the necessary examinations have been appointed.
