Vishnevsky on the CSTO peacekeepers in Kazakhstan: The numbers clearly do not agree

Petersburg politician Boris Vishnevsky commented on the dispatch of the CSTO peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan, noting the discrepancy between the published figures.

He published his reasoning on the VKontakte social network. The politician stressed that according to the CSTO Secretary General, the number of peacekeepers should be about 2.5 thousand people. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that “an air group of more than 70 Il-76 and 5 An-124 aircraft” is engaged in the transfer of the Russian contingent.

As noted by Vishnevsky, the AN-124 military transport aircraft can take on board more than 400 paratroopers and equipment, the Il-76 can take on board more than 100 paratroopers. “If so many planes are involved, then the numbers obviously do not add up. And, most likely, the number of Russian soldiers alone who are being transferred to Kazakhstan is much greater than the entire declared number of the allegedly “peacekeeping contingent,” “the politician concludes.

In addition, Vishnevsky criticized the head of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, who “allowed the security forces to shoot citizens to kill without warning.” “Comrade is following Ceausescu’s right path,” added Vishnevsky.

Let us remind you that protests in Kazakhstan began after the New Year due to the rise in prices for liquefied gas. The government resigned, while the CSTO Collective Security Council decided to send a collective peacekeeping force to Kazakhstan at the request of the president of the republic.

Law enforcement officials of Kazakhstan have detained 3,811 people in connection with the riots, the Kazakh Tengrinews agency reported on the Telegram channel data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the ministry, 26 participants in the riots were eliminated, another 26 people were injured.
