The Russian military, who will be brought in to “pacify” Kazakhstan, will have to “kill, even if they shoot back.” “This will increase hatred for our country and for all of us,” public and political figure Leonid Gozman wrote on his Facebook page.
In his opinion, Russian-speaking Kazakhstanis will have to pay for the imperial policy of the Russian leadership.
At the same time, the politician believes, the protests in Kazakhstan do not threaten Russia, but, “perhaps, they pose a threat to the power of our current rulers.”
Gozman also believes that the invitation by the President of Kazakhstan of the CSTO troops “to fight against his people” is a betrayal of the Motherland. He is confident that some of the Kazakh military will go over to the side of the protesters.
The politician suggested that the Russian leadership, “frightened by what is happening in Kazakhstan, will
tighten the screws, toughen up domestic policy. ”
As you know, the President of Kazakhstan Tokayev asked the CSTO countries to intervene in the situation, and, according to the latest information, the military of the Collective Security Treaty Organization have already entered the territory of the rebellious republic.
