In the event that “invaders” appear in Kazakhstan, part of the Kazakh armed forces and police may go over to the side of the rebels. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Abbas Gallyamov.
“And then it will no longer be just a walk, but a new Afghanistan,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
As the expert notes, “on the eve of the next revolution, Russia always gets involved in some small victorious war,” and Lukashenka can send his security officials to Kazakhstan “just on emotions alone”.
Gallyamov believes that without preliminary agreements, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomurat Tokayev, would not have asked the CSTO for support. As the political scientist notes, “in this situation, it will be difficult for Putin to resist,” as it would be possible to “scare” the Russian opposition.
As you know, the CSTO Collective Security Council, at the request of the President of Kazakhstan Tokayev, decided to send collective peacekeeping forces to this country. The current chairman of the Council, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced this on Facebook.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
