Since the collection of the property tax began in Quito, on January 1, and the Municipality has collected $ 4 million from taxpayers. The news was announced by Mayor Santiago Guarderas on Tuesday night, through a message on social networks.
“Your citizen commitment and our municipal management have allowed the collection of 4 million dollars, from Property Tax, since January 1. Quiteñas and Quiteños let us comply with the payment ”, Guarderas published.
The collection through electronic transfers was enabled from the first day of the year. As of January 3, the attention for inquiries is also face-to-face in the service balconies of the nine zonal administrations and the mega balcony located in the Bicentennial Park, to the north of the city.

Until January 14, the attention on the balconies will be extended hours, from 07:00 to 17:30, only to resolve citizens’ concerns.
The Municipality recalls that the collection is not carried out in these places, but in private financial entities, and external agencies such as Servipagos, Western Union or the Facilito Payment Network. Other forms of payment are through the portal https://pam.quito.gob.ec, by credit or debit card, and by online banking.
Users who cancel the tax until January 15 will benefit from a 10% discount. (I)
