A sister of the victim found the dead body around 10:00 this Tuesday the 4th.
A trans woman, identified as Carla Espinoza, 31, was found lifeless this Tuesday at her home, located in the Francisco Jácome cooperative, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
His sister found the body around 10:00. She had a key to the property and entered the site worried, since Carla did not answer the calls and had not taken her vehicle out to go to her work activities. When he entered, he found her on the floor by the stairs.
She related that the victim had stab wounds to the chest and neck.
He immediately called ECU911 and police personnel arrived to initiate investigations. To do this, the scene was cordoned off to collect evidence.
Carla worked as a stylist and makeup artist in a hairdresser in Los Ceibos, in the north, said those close to her.
According to the first inquiries, Colonel Geovanni Argüello, Florida District police chief, said that until midnight a delivery man had arrived at the house to leave an order and that Carla was still alive.
The police chief mentioned that the deceased’s cell phone was not found at the scene and that the doors were not forced.
