Two children, ages 7 and 6, were found dead inside their home and their mother suspended in another room in the same building. The event was reported in the Turi parish, in Cuenca, on the afternoon of Monday 3.
Unofficial information from the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office details that the minors had signs of violence on their bodies, so one of the hypotheses being handled is murder and subsequent suicide.
The autopsy is scheduled to take place this morning.
The incident occurred in a modest home located in the antenna sector, in the rural parish of Turi. The shocking scene was discovered by the boys’ grandmother and the woman’s mother.
Around 3:00 p.m., the first thing he did was call ECU911 and soon after paramedics from the Ministry of Public Health arrived, who could only determine that they no longer had vital signs.
That is why they asked the agents of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police for help.
The picture was as follows: the young Juan Mateo JP and his sister Paola EstefanÃa were lying on a mattress, while the mother was on the second floor.
At the beginning, the autopsy was expected to be carried out at the Cuenca Forensic Center last night, but due to the completion of some procedures it was postponed until today.
The Police plan to give more details of this case this Tuesday morning. (I)
