According to him, “if the two nuclear superpowers continue to reduce (nuclear arsenal – ed.)”, China will be happy to “join (negotiations – ed.)” Moscow and Washington on nuclear disarmament, RIA Novosti reports.
At the same time, Fu Cong believes that the United States should not try to assess China’s nuclear arsenal using satellite images. So he commented on the reports of the American media that China is building at least three sites for intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Let us also recall that earlier the leaders of Russia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, China, the United States and France adopted a joint statement “on the prevention of nuclear war and the prevention of an arms race.” The document was published on the Kremlin website.
The parties, in particular, stated that “there can be no winners in a nuclear war, and it should never be unleashed,” and the further proliferation of nuclear weapons in the world must be prevented.
