Petersburgers complain about overfilled garbage containers, which, according to them, have been standing since the beginning of the new year. They address dissatisfaction with the MSW regoperator on his official VKontakte page.
“The year 2022 has just begun, and you are no longer“ exporting ”,” says one of the responses.
Residents complain that all the trash bins are full; on some streets there were no bins at all.
The company said that the addresses where there were failures with garbage collection are being worked out.
“New Year’s holidays are a problem period for the industry in every city of Russia every year, as the volume of waste grows, the number of parked cars increases,” it was reported.
Meanwhile, the number of outraged comments is growing. Petersburgers send photos and addresses of sites where the garbage has not been removed.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the authorities to “speed up” and in the coming years to remove all open landfills within cities. The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov said that in a number of regions of Russia in the next 2-3 years the capacity of waste dumps will be completely exhausted. He clarified that we are talking about 20 regions, including, for example, St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Kuban, Magadan, Novosibirsk, Sevastopol.
