“I am very, very tired”: Mitya Aleshkovsky leaves the post of director of the “Need help” foundation

Mitya Aleshkovsky, the founder of the We Need Help charity foundation and the Takie Dela portal, resigns from the post of director of the foundation.

“Since January, I stop receiving salaries and making any management decisions in the fund, and in Takih Delah, I will hand over the management in a few months,” Aleshkovsky wrote on Facebook.

He attributed his decision to fatigue and burnout. “I’m very, very, very tired. The last two years have been a very big test for me. And I need rest. I feel like I’m losing myself by dealing with issues for which I wasn’t made for. And I’m not made to rule at all. I can do it, but I don’t want to do it, ”said the benefactor.

He also explained that due to the responsibility for the fund, he cannot say what he thinks and do what he wants, etc. “For me, any such action becomes a severe stress, because I keep thinking how this action can affect our foundation and its wards, ”said Aleshkovsky.

“I have always said that for the sake of someone else’s life I’m ready to work and communicate even with the bald devil, if only there is a result, but when you have to go against your principles, or when you have to be silent in situations when you want to talk, simply because you have to keep your life’s work … This is very frustrating. I don’t want to play it, ”the public figure stressed.

The new director of the fund will be Sofia Zhukova, the Council of the Fund will manage all the strategic functions, and the Board of Trustees will control the work of all bodies. Dmitry Saava became the chairman of the council.

Aleshkovsky himself plans to develop several projects of the foundation on a global scale. “I am interested in building a transnational organization that will deal with the development of non-profit organizations through the development of IT projects,” he said.

In the coming months, Aleshkovsky plans to rest.
