The court in St. Petersburg released Yuri Khovansky from custody

Blogger Yury Khovansky, accused of justifying terrorism, was released from the pre-trial detention center for the first time in more than six months. This decision was made by the Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg.

As the girl of the influencer Maria Nelyubova told in her personal Telegram channel, the investigators proposed to soften the measure of restraint, since Khovansky will no longer be able to hide because of the passport given to law enforcement officers, while the country has imposed restrictions on travel. The materials of the case will not be destroyed by the blogger, since they are protected according to the results of a computer examination, the prosecution believes. The prosecutor supported the request.

The court agreed with the arguments of the investigation. The blogger was released. Until January 8, Khovansky was appointed a milder measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions: leaving the house in the evenings and nights, attending mass events, sending mail, using the Internet, and approaching the scene of the alleged crime.

“Yura, come out!” – the supporters at the courthouse began to rejoice.

We will remind, the blogger, accused of justifying terrorism because of the song about the terrorist attack on Dubrovka, has been in jail since June 9. The defense insists that the composition was performed in 2012, before the introduction of the corresponding article in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Khovansky complained to the ECHR about violations during arrest and detention.
