The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia supported the introduction of a unique identification number for owners of tourist real estate, as well as the creation of a unified federal register of such housing.
Thus, they want to register Russians who rent out apartments to tourists and oblige them to pay taxes, the Izvestia newspaper reports, citing a letter from the service to Opor Rossii, which asked State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov to consider the bill.
In particular, the publication points out, according to the document, homeowners will receive an individual registration number at the municipal level, which will be entered in the unified federal register and will necessarily appear in all rental announcements. At the same time, the owners of such real estate will be registered as operators of tourist tax, and they will pay a tax of 4%.
We will remind also, earlier it became known that the Ministry of Construction has developed a bill, which is designed to bring the rental housing market out of the shadows. At the end of November, the document was sent for approval to the relevant departments.
