“Positive thinking to help”: Interfax.by experts taught how to make New Year’s wishes correctly

The journalists of the Interfax.by portal, armed with the advice of psychologists and their own worldly wisdom, told how to make a wish for the New Year so that it comes true. The ritual to the chimes and with a glass of champagne in hand must be performed, first of all, being guided by common sense, the recommendations say.

So, it is important to correctly formulate the desire. It should be specific and unambiguous… Abstract goals or vague interpretations are not welcome – after all, if it comes true, then it is “abstract and vague”.

You need to guess, choosing your words carefully. Here an absolute prohibition is introduced on the “not” particle. Negative “I don’t want to get sick” is not good, but positive “I want to be healthy” is a good choice.

In addition, psychologists urge you to think about desire as already come true, that is in present time… “Concentrate on your feelings when you say, ‘I am healthy’ or ‘I met a loved one and happy in love,’ they advise.

Finally, it is advisable to “relieve oneself of responsibility” for what the fulfillment of the most cherished may turn out not only for the one who makes a guess, but also for his loved ones. Thus, after making a wish, you should immediately say: “It happens easily and happily!”.

Earlier, psychologists said that one should not make only one wish for the New Year, it is better to decide on a whole dozen. The experts also recommended that you figure out whose desire it is.
