Kommersant: The cost of calling Santa Claus has risen in price due to masks and PCR tests

The services of the New Year’s wizard are also subject to inflation, having risen in price over the past four years by almost 70%. This is the conclusion reached by the Tinkoff Data experts referred to by Kommersant.

This is due, in particular, to the need to take care of personal protective equipment and pass paid PCR tests necessary for Father Frost and Snow Maiden to be allowed to perform their duties. At the same time, despite the precautions, every third parent abandoned the idea of inviting animators due to the pandemic.

In general, according to Natalya Golovanova, head of the SuperJob research center, quoted by Kommersant, only 13% of parents are going to invite their grandfather and granddaughter. At the same time, the most expensive Santa Clauses in Russian million-plus cities work in Moscow (the average cost of calling a wizard-grandfather is 2.2 thousand rubles there), in St. Petersburg and in Rostov-on-Don, where calling Santa Claus costs 1, 9 and 1.8 thousand rubles, respectively.
