In Pelileo parish, neighbors captured and punished two alleged criminals

Two subjects accused of robbery were captured and punished by residents of the Bolívar parish, belonging to the Pelileo canton, in the province of Tungurahua.

According to a police report, some 300 people had gathered in the Central Park of Bolívar to punish Gabriel P. and Alexis V., the afternoon and night of this Sunday 26.

The two individuals had been accused of stealing a vehicle in the Huambalito sector. Witness versions indicate that after taking the car, the subjects fled through the Huambaló parish.

Police personnel were immediately alerted to the robbery, and they mounted an operation to capture the perpetrators of the crime.

According to the police report, residents of the area indicated that the vehicle had been located in the Huasimpamba ravine, next to La Florida.

Later, the two subjects were captured by the community members.

The uniformed men went to Central Park, where they observed the two people accused of robbery tied to a pole with ropes and in their underwear.
