Ten people were injured after the truck in which they were traveling suffered a traffic accident, around 12:30 on Sunday 26, at kilometer 5 of the Montecristi-Portoviejo road.
The vehicle overturned in that section after losing track, according to preliminary information. Ambulances and paramedics from the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) went to the scene of the accident to provide medical assistance to those affected.
Ricardo Lucas, head of the Montecristi Fire Department, indicated that not all of the ten people linked to this accident have serious injuries, but to rule out any internal ailment they were transferred to the Rafael Rodríguez Zambrano and IESS hospitals in Manta.
Among the injured and wounded are three minors. Some occupants of the vehicle suffered fractures.
