Two merchants were shot to death in San Lorenzo and Esmeraldas

In another criminal act, antisocials robbed a warehouse cash register.

Merchants Elvis Gracia Solís (43 years old) and Yolanda Torres Guevara (70) died from gunshot wounds from unknown persons in incidents registered in the cities of San Lorenzo and Esmeraldas, this Friday.

Gracia was on his way to work in the artisanal fishing port of Esmeraldas in his truck, when around 07:00 he was intercepted by two men on a motorcycle. The subjects shot him several times in one of the streets of the Solca hospital, Propicia 2 neighborhood, south of the Emerald capital.

Relatives and neighbors took him in the same truck to the Delfina Torres South Hospital, where he died due to the seriousness of the gunshot wounds in different parts of the body. Police officers found 6 9mm sheaths and 2 9mm bullets as evidence.

Meanwhile, Yolanda Torres was also killed by gunshot wounds in a warehouse located on 5 de Agosto streets and Esmeraldas avenue, urban area of ​​San Lorenzo del Pailón, northern border.

The incident occurred at 10:00 am and as a result of the attack, two more people were injured; one of them owns the premises. The National Police of the San Lorenzo district reinforced security at the Divina Providencia hospital in this border town, in the face of threats against the two wounded.

Meanwhile, in a store on Olmedo streets, between San José Obrero and Delgadillo, criminals stole the cash register after making purchases. The incident was recorded by video cameras in the warehouse on Thursday night. (I)
