Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandr Vucic discussed by phone the state and prospects of cooperation in various fields, including the implementation of joint energy projects. The Kremlin press service reports on the conversation between Putin and Vucic.
It is noted that Putin and Vucic paid special attention to the supply of Russian gas to Serbia. The leaders emphasized that systematic work has been established in this direction along the line of the specialized structures of the two countries. This work allows “to provide stable heat and energy supply to the Serbian population and economy,” it was reported.
Also, Putin and Vucic agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
As a reminder, on November 25, Russia and Serbia following the talks in Sochi agreed on the gas price for the next six months at $ 270 per thousand cubic meters. Vucic announced this then after a meeting with Putin. “Serbia will receive gas for the next six months at $ 270 per thousand cubic meters (as at present, the contract expires by the end of the year – ed.)”, – stressed the Serbian leader, adding that his country will receive exceptional conditions for the price of gas from Russia.
