The Army has not given more details about the crew or indications of the causes of the accident of the Cessna 206 plane, with registration AEE179, which took off at approximately 08:45 local time (13:45 GMT), on the Shell-Lorocachi route. -Shell, in the province of Pastaza.

The Army had reported in the afternoon that the plane’s mission was to bring supplies to Lorocachi, but “it did not arrive at its destination, scheduled for 09:45, which is why the search and rescue plan for its location was activated.

With the support of two helicopters from the Army Aviation Brigade No. 15 Paquisha, it was identified that the aircraft crashed 9 miles from the Lorocachi parish.

It was ordered that the RECON combat team of the brigade No. 17 from Selva Pastaza enter the area of ​​the accident “to verify the condition of the crew and carry out their rescue,” which was reported during the night. (I)
