A resident of Vyborg, Alexander Arkadyevich Beresnev, had to prove to the Russian Pension Fund that he was alive in order to restore the right to a pension. According to the documents, this citizen died, and therefore cannot count on state pensions, the Vyborg newspaper reports.
For the first time, the “misunderstanding” happened to Beresnev four years ago. The Vyborg branch of the PFR explained that it was not Beresnev who actually died, but his full namesake, and not in Vyborg, but in the Far East. In the registry office of the Far East, Beresnev was mistaken for living in the Leningrad region, and payments in connection with the death of the pensioner were temporarily stopped, but soon they were resumed without problems (according to Alexander Arkadyevich).
This year the situation repeated itself. As the Rosbalt correspondent found out, Beresnev has not been paid a pension for six months. “I don’t understand why I have to prove through court that I’m alive. It’s not my mistake, ”the pensioner wonders.
The Pension Fund refers to the current legislation. It is not enough to come and simply say: “I am alive” – the issue can be resolved only through the courts, which requires a lot of effort and time. At the same time, in the housing and communal services sector, Beresnev is considered alive, so he regularly receives receipts for the rent.
Let us remind you that earlier Putin promised the security officials to index pensions “according to actual inflation.”
