Two people were killed in Manta and Santo Domingo

The assassinated in Santo Domingo was a renowned local taekwondo player who won some gold medals in that sport at the national level.

Nico Reyes Soria, 21, was shot four times. For unknown reasons, he was killed. The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday in the El Palmar citadel, one kilometer from the Manta land terminal.

Neighbors of the sector indicated that they heard several shots, but did not say who or who had fired at Reyes.

An aunt of the victim arrived at the scene of the attack and indicated that after receiving the shots, the young man was transferred in a private vehicle to the IESS hospital, where at 00:05 this Friday, doctors from that health home communicated to the relatives that the wounded man had died.

Police officers raised seven ballistic evidence at the crime scene, which will be part of the analysis of this violent death.

While in Santo Domingo, Anthony Sarango, an outstanding athlete in taekwondo, was assassinated on Thursday night, a discipline where he won some gold medals for his city and province.

The attack on Sarango occurred on Camino a Río Verde street. The wife of the now deceased indicated that he was coming home after work when he was surprised by his perpetrators, of whom there is no clue at the moment.

Sarango had been residing in the aforementioned street for a month. This new death was the sixth in a period of 72 hours that was registered in the city of Santo Domingo.

Last Wednesday Elvis Cedeño and Alfredo Mendoza were murdered, in circumstances that they were leaving a restaurant and within seconds of getting into a vehicle they were shot by people who were mobilizing in another white car, according to the images that were recorded in a security camera installed near where this event occurred.
