Three-time swimming champion Vitalina Simonova was fired for insulting police officers at the St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport. The swimmer announced this to subscribers on her Instagram.
“I am writing this post with pain in my soul from the realization that not everything is fair in our life. Many people know that my coach and I are defending our rights to “breathe freely,” the athlete wrote. “And I was even fired from my job.”
Simonova complained that it is very expensive to defend herself in court – meetings, legal assistance, linguistic expertise and living in St. Petersburg are not cheap. The athlete asked for financial help from subscribers and gave the card number.
Some users supported her in the comments.
“Vitalina, you are a fighter! Hopefully most people will be on your side. That everyone will take off their masks, including the police, ”the girl wrote.
“You need to defend your rights when there are lies, deceit and insanity around,” others agreed.
Others expressed skepticism about the situation:
“The muzzle does not prevent me from helping people and going towards their goals, and your heroine“ stumbled ”on the muzzle and, possibly, will lose her career. Spend your energy nowhere. You won’t achieve anything and ruin your reputation, ”the user noted.
“We stand up for our right to infect other people, we frankly spit on the law and those around us. <…>… Of course, we will not be responsible for possible deaths. Therefore, we will rest on our horns and set an example for everyone to increase mortality. After all, we are smarter than doctors and scientists. After all, we are swimmers and athletes, ”said another.
“Your right to ‘breathe freely’ is the right to freely infect others with covid. Obscurantism, ”concluded the third.
The athlete was urged to be responsible for her actions and “not to beg for money.” Someone ironically noticed that he and the coach were not inhabitants of heaven, and called them “fighters of the invisible front.”
Let us remind you that on November 22, coach Alexander Ilyin decided not to wear a mask at Pulkovo, there was a conflict with the guards and police. Administrative cases were opened against him for violation of the high alert regime and disobedience to police officers. Vitalina Simonova became a defendant in a criminal case for insulting a government official.
